Postgraduate workshop enjoys success

THE NETWORK'S CHINA, JAPAN AND SOUTH EAST ASIA NODES WERE PLEASED TO SUPPORT A SUCCESSFUL POSTGRADUATE WORKSHOP HELD AS PART OF THE RECENT 17TH BIENNIAL ASAA CONFERENCE IN MELBOURNE.

ASAA President, Dr Robert Cribb reports that more than 90 people attended the workshop which saw senior scholars on hand to provide advice on getting a job after the completion of the thesis, publishing the thesis, publishing research articles before thesis completion, preparing a professional resume and other important issues.

The workshop provided an excellent opportunity to build networks as well as share ideas and experiences with colleagues from a wide variety of fields and disciplines who are engaged in exciting research focused on Asia. A special thanks to Sven Schottmann for his contribution to making this event such a success.
